SIR - Is anything every going to be done to improve the parking arrangements at our wonderful Royal Hospital, or are the powers-that-be quite content to let the scandal continue indefinitely? I recently went to visit a friend in Severn Unit and drove round the roads and car parks twice. Finding no where to park after half an hour, I came home again without seeing him.

Later, I spoke to another friend on the phone, and learnt that he also, coincidentally and without telling me, had tried to visit our mutual friend and had had exactly the same experience. Bad enough for us, from Kempsey and Rushwick, but worse for anyone trying to visit from further afield. It's no good writing to the hospital - I have done so and they just ignore one's plea for improvements to be made.

DICK KING,

Kempsey.
