EVESHAM United striker Matt Lewis is the subject of a seven-day approach from Kettering Town.

Lewis was linked with a move to the Poppies at the start of the season when he was at Nationwide North rivals Hinckley United.

The ex-Kidderminster Harriers front-man made his debut for the Robins last month and has struck up a good partnership with Richard Ball.

Manager Dave Busst will be desperate to hold on to his attacking star as relegation-threatened Evesham bid to hang on to their Southern League Premier Division status.

But the lure of Rockingham Road could tempt Lewis and boss Kevin Wilson is hopeful of landing the striker to pair him with former Worcester City man Christian Moore against Hinckley on Boxing Day.
