TOTAL football is the only way to describe the home team's all-round performance.

Ivan Masica opened the scoring when he headed in a cross from Bryn Tomes, while Louis Brown followed up Wes Burden's penalty that had struck a post.

Burden then did find the net from the edge of the area and Tomes scored after a lay back from Brown before Masica converted another centre from Tomes.

Tom Evans started the second half with a fine run and shot from the edge of the area.

Brown was then on hand to finish after James Bearcroft's shot was parried and the scorer then turned provider for Masica' to complete his hat-trick.

Brown then scored a fine solo goal, before Bearcroft blasted in a pass from Colin Philpott. Harrison Cother followed in after Burden's shot was parried and Brown then added two more to his tally.

Bearcroft did likewise to complete securing his treble and Cother and Brown combined to set up Elliot Grady to complete the rout.

EVESHAM signed off for 2005 with victory and an excellent all-round team effort.

Angus Steele gave them the lead and Joe Iorns quickly made it 2-0 as United took charge in the early stages.

Dan Wilcox scored Evesham's third after good work from Oliver Wilkes and Scott Andrew and it took only 19 second half seconds for the visitors to make it 4-0 when Iorns scored his second.

Steele also netted his second before Iorns completed his hat-trick to round off a fine team display.

RANGERS returned to league duty and completed a comfortable win against well organised and determined opposition.

Ryan Attwood gave Badsey the ideal start with a first minute early goal and Nathan Bolland made it 2-0 just 60 seconds later.

Both teams produced some neat passing play but there was just one more goal before the break when Tom Benfield netted a third for Rangers.

Alex Hillier netted his first goal for the club after the restart and another one for Bolland and a brace for Jordan Lymn wrapped up the points.

RANGERS started their defence of the C & G League Cup with an emphatic success.

However, it was the hosts who took the lead but Badsey's positive response reaped dividends when Alex Trotman netted after good work from James Schembri, Nick Remfry and Jack Milward.

Two minutes later Rangers were ahead when Milward's corner was turned into his own net by a home defender.

The rest of the half belonged to the visitors and Schembri's midfield runs and passes set up Remfry who notched up a ten-minute treble before his provider made it 6-1 at the interval.

Lakeside responded with a second goal soon after the restart and Louis Sutton produced two good stops before Schembri wrapped up victory for the visitors.

RANGERS fell behind when their hosts netted from the penalty spot but they were back on level terms after 13 minutes when Matty Andrew scored.

The visitors came out strongly for the second period with player of the match Callum Grieve in fine form.

Andrew's astute lob from 30 yards struck a post but fell kindly for Ryan Dixon to make it 2-1 and the win was sealed when Andrew grabbed his second goal after good play from Dixon and Scott Southern.

Evesham Utd Girls U-14 4, Worcester City 1

THERE was relief all round as United recorded a welcome win mainly thanks to a hat-trick from Katie Armento.

Her first two goals were cracking shots from distance and she completed her hat-trick after god work from Vicky Keen following a goal kick from Victoria Rawlings.

City reduced the arrears in the second half only for Evesham to restore their three-goal advantage and secure the win when Deborah Lewis found the net.

Bredon Colts Athletico U-13 2,

LAST weekend's preliminary round cup clash produced a hard-fought clash that was only settled two minutes from time.

Tom Spiers nodded Colts in front from a superbly timed pass from Fred Humphries and only a series of fine stops from Dave Ballard kept Harriers in the tie.

However, the gallant custodian was powerless to prevent Scott Bunch ensuring progress with an astute lob late in the game.
