BRETFORTON completed their 2005 league programme with two matches that brought contrasting fortunes.

A midweek trip to Wootton Bassett saw the girls return home pointless after a 3-2 defeat.

Trailing 2-0, the visitors replied through a Sophie Corbett strike and the same player levelled matters before half-time.

It was end-to-end stuff after the break when the deciding goal came from the hosts who withstood late Bretforton pressure to taker the points.

It was Corbett who proved the match winner at home to Gloucester II last Saturday when her second half shot from a short corner sealed victory.

The match ball was sponsored by the lads from the RAF at Wootton Bassett.
