TENBURY Hospital staff are celebrating their success after receiving awards to mark their achievements in the workplace.
Carole Hutchinson and the hospital's housekeeping staff were recognised by the South Worcestershire Primary Care Trust for their work.
Carole, who lives in Ludlow, was given the award for support worker of the year and the housekeeping staff were honoured for good service from a supporting agency.
Communications manager Mrs Janet Ferguson said that Carole had been recognised for making a real difference to individual patients.
She said: "Carole has worked with tremendous commitment, dedication and professionalism.
"She has also continued her clinical role in the community, supporting carers and maintaining links with the day centre in Tenbury."
Members of the housekeeping team were recognised for the pride they took in their work. "The cleanliness of the hospital is often commented on by professional and visitors and is very much appreciated by everybody who works at Tenbury," Mrs Ferguson said.
"Most importantly, all the patients enjoy a thoroughly clean environment."
This is the second year the Primary Care Trust has held staff achievement awards and a ceremony was held at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Droitwich.
