A mum has criticised Malvern Hills Lions Club after their Father Christmas sleigh turned up late.
Amanda Fairclough, of Highfield Close, Malvern Link, took her children, Thomas, aged seven, and Aimee, two, to see the sleigh on Tuesday, December 20.
Although they were at Quest Hills Road at the advertised time of 5.30pm, the sleigh was over 30 minutes late, and when it did arrive, it drove straight past them.
"It was very discourteous," said Mrs Fairclough. "A child standing near us was crying."
David Jeavons, of the Lions, said: "Sometimes we are a little late because it's sometimes difficult to get the sleigh along the road. We're sorry if anyone was kept waiting."
He said the event, over five evenings in the run-up to Christmas, was generally a success. Some 1,700 bags of sweets were distributed to children and £133 was collected for charity.
Mr Jeavons said the Lions had been making their rounds with the Christmas sleigh for over 30 years and the project was entirely run by volunteers.
