A new counter clerk, Martin Tucker, has taken up his post at Upton Police Station.
The police station will now be open for public inquiries on a two-week rota, corresponding to the district council's recycling of purple and clear bags.
Week 1 (clear), commencing Monday, January 9: Monday, closed; Tuesday, 10am to 1pm; Wednesday, closed; Thursday, 2pm to 5pm'; Friday, closed; Saturday, 8am to noon, Sunday, closed.
Week 2 (purple): Monday, 10am to 1pm; Tuesday, closed; Wednesday, 2pm to 6pm; Thursday, closed; Frida, 9am to noon, Saturday, closed; Sunday, closed.
Meanwhile, beat manager PC Mark Taylor will be holding a crime prevention day at the police station on Saturday, January 28, where he will be offering to security mark items such as computers, digital cameras, portable hi-fi systems etc.
