PRESIDENT Sheila Girvan inducted a new member, Val Bayliss, into the club at the recent meeting.
After business, members were instructed in the art of making Christmas crackers by immediate past president Margaret Hood.
She gave everyone a DIY kit and demonstrated the various processes.
The idea was that members should fill it with a small present so the completed cracker could be put into a lucky dip at the Christmas meal.
