SIR - It's a bit rich for Peter Luff to complain of possible gas shortages this winter. After all, it was the Conservative government that denationalised the gas industry on the basis that it could be run better by the private sector.
Does Mr Luff now support the re-nationalisation of the industry as his views can only lead to the conclusion that the private sector has failed?
