MARTIN O'Connor has challenged either Dan Lewis or John Danby to make the number one jersey their own after blunders from both keepers in recent matches.

Having ousted former first choice Danby for the last three months, Lewis was dropped for Monday's trip to Altrincham after his mis-kick led to Burton's winning goal last Friday.

But Danby failed to seize the opportunity with both hands, gifting the Robins their first two goals with a fumble and a poor clearance.

The goalkeeping blunders have given caretaker boss O'Connor an unwanted selection headache ahead of Saturday's visit to Woking.

"I was very disappointed with John Danby and I've not been happy with the goalkeeping situation for a while," he said.

"I've given John his chance and he's given them two goals which is not good enough.

"As I said after the Burton game sometimes keepers make mistakes and it ends up being a goal and that's what's happened again.

"Both John Danby and Dan Lewis have got a lot of work to do to convince me that they should play," added O'Connor.

Meanwhile, O'Connor has admitted that Harriers are anxiously looking over their shoulder at the relegation places.

"It's not a good position to be in and you can only blame the people involved, the board, the players and the manager," he said.

"We haven't got the results to put us into a decent position over the Christmas period.

"Over the last 12 points available we've taken just one and in my opinion, in any standard of football, that isn't good enough.

Woking have problems of their own with the Cards facing an injury crisis after a run of three draws over the festive period.

Former Harrier Mark Rawle is one of NINE doubts with a back and groin problem after a hit and miss season with Glenn Cockerill's men.
