Evesham U12 0,

Shipston 56pts

A COUPLE of early converted tries sent a clear message to the Evesham team that they were in a for a difficult morning.

However, they started to get into the game although Andrew Toms, Scott Coulson, Tristan Walsh, Edward Worthington, Luke Head and Tom Fitchett all had to defend and tackle repeatedly for the duration of the first half.

Player of the match Tim Sto-ddart created good space on several occasions from scrum-half for both Toms and Head to make good ground but the forwards were unable to create further phases of play and possession was repeatedly lost.

Evesham's best chance came towards the end of the half when Jordan Nobes was held up just short of the line despite the best efforts of Josh Critchley, And-rew Uncles and Zak Bailey to force him over.

Shipston again crossed for two early scores but a committed Evesham continued to play well.

Stoddart continued to cause Shipston problems from the base of the scrum and releasing Fitchett for several good runs, but again the ball was lost too easily and this proved a key factor in the final result.
