STOURPORT High School prop Wayne Cooper was in the Midlands under-16 side that drew 10-0 with the South West and 15-15 with London and the South East at the Divisional Festival at Castlecroft in Wolverhampton.
Cooper missed out on selection for the 40-strong England squad for a development weekend on January 28 and 29 with just seven Midlands players winning a call-up.
But the youngster will have another chance to impress in a third divisional game against the North at Castlecroft on January 29.
