I AM writing on behalf of all the children who received an extra gift at Christmas as a result of the Shuttle/Times and News Christmas Tree Appeal.
More than 400 children received gifts, which were distributed by Home-Start Wyre Forest and other local agencies.
I wish to thank everyone who was kind enough to donate a gift. We were overwhelmed by the response and heartened by people's generosity.
Home-Start is a voluntary organisation, which supports families with young children who are finding things difficult.
We have more than 60 volunteers, who regularly visit families in their own homes to provide practical help and emotional support.
We are used to seeing the quiet, good work that local people do, but our involvement in this project has once again reminded us how generous and caring people can be.
On behalf of all the children you enjoyed your gifts, I wish you a Happy New Year.
