WARRIORS skipper Pat Sanderson has been named in a 36-man training squad for England's Six Nations campaign.

The 28-year-old flanker was one of the stars of England's autumn Test Series but has not played since before Christmas because of a back injury.

"I'm thrilled to be named in the squad. It's great news and I'm really looking forward to hooking up with the England squad," he said.

"My current focus is with my club and getting back to full fitness, but I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of the England set-up."

Among the players he will be competing with for a back-row spot are recalled Wasps duo Lawrence Dallaglio and Joe Worsley and Sale's uncapped open-side specialist Magnus Lund.

Worcester's Shane Drahm has been called into the England A squad.

The Australian-born fly-half qualifies for England on residency grounds.
