THREE companies trying to make their mark in international sport are representing Tenbury Wells in this year's Winter Olympics in Turin.

Rural Productions have won contracts to design and build corporate hospitality suites for the Games next month and have enlisted help from two other businesses in the Tenbury area.

Kyre-based John Beavan Cabinet Makers and Catering Equipment On-line have been recruited to help the Burford firm's clients relax in style.

"It's intrinsic that the local community plays a part in our business interests. People can sometimes have a very blinkered view of what is available locally," said Richard Penhaligon, Rural Productions' company director.

Partner Nicki Beavan, is delighted that the Tenbury businesses are being given the chance to increase their profile in this way.

"We are top-end cabinet makers and we will supply various furniture pieces for use in Turin. Although we are well-known in London, and have royal and aristocratic clients, a lot of local people don't know about us and it will be good to increase our profile locally."

Staff at Catering Equipment On-line are thrilled to be associated with such a top sporting occasion. Sales manager Louisa Gregory said: "You wouldn't have thought that a small town like Tenbury would have had three firms at such a sporting event."
