Firms are being urged to improve the childcare support they offer workers.
The TUC says that finding good quality, affordable childcare was one of the biggest challenges facing working parent and employers could do more to lessen the hassle and ease the financial burden.
TUC general secretary Brendan Barber said: "Good quality, accessible and affordable childcare can go a long way towards making parents feel happier about coming to work."
