ASTWOOD Bank are looking for another successful season following their excellent run in the National Village Knockout last term.

The Jill Lane side reached the last four of the last four of the competition and maintained their place in Division One of the Worcestershire County League.

The 2nds had an amazing season as they won their league, losing just one game in the process.

Club officials are looking for at least a top six league finish this season. They will be fielding three Saturday teams and two Sunday teams and are on the lookout for new players.

Pre-season training begins at Edgbaston Cricket Centre on Sunday between 6-8pm.

Wythall Cricket Club are also looking to strengthen for the new campaign.

The club nets are ongoing at Woodrush High School on Sundays from 11am-1pm.

The club will have new netting facilities for the coming season and a bowling machine bought with a £5,000 grant from Sport England.

The club will also be fielding sides at u10, u11 and u13 in the coming season with the help of qualified ECB coaches.
