A TOWN pub is raising a glass to its success after being nominated for a prestigious industry award for the quality of its drinks.
The Hop Pole, in Birmingham, Road, is one of three pubs on the shortlist for a Punch Taverns Shine award in the best drinks experience category.
Judges will announce the results at a gala luncheon this Friday.
Nicola Highton, Shine Awards co-ordinator, said: "The Shine Awards is our annual reward and recognition scheme for licensees who go the extra mile.
"In this particular award category we are looking at how pubs merchandise their drinks, the extent of the product range, innovation, staff knowledge and how drinks are presented to the customers."
She added: "Whichever pub scoops the award, the Hop Pole deserves considerable praise for being shortlisted and we wish them every success in the final."
