STUDLEY'S fine run of form continued on Saturday with an expected win over a seemingly doomed Rocester side who are without a win in more than 60 league games.

A Mark Neath free-kick set up the victory with the three points secured by Junior Hewitt prompting manager Kevin Rowlands to praise his players.

"Junior is working well up front with AJ (Andy Johnson). The lads have been working so hard recently," said the Studley boss.

"The performance was a little bit below-par on Saturday but it's easy to be dragged down to their level by a poor side.

"The lads deserve a lot of credit for the way they have responded to our earlier inconsistency."

A 2-0 win was the Bees' fourth in their last six matches, a sequence that has featured a solitary defeat, and was their fourth straight win at fortress Beehive.

But Rowlands says he is not getting carried away by an upturn in form ahead of Saturday's trip into the Black Country to face Tipton Town (ko 3pm).

"A run like this can be taken away from you as quickly as it can be given," he added.

"Tipton are four points ahead of us and we have two games in hand so it's important we don't get beaten.

"We will go there looking for a win but if we get a draw, a point at Tipton is a good point."

The Bees will be without the suspended Simon Fitter on Saturday.
