POLICE have renewed their appeal for information after a man was assaulted opposite the Red Chamber Chinese restaurant in Redditch almost three weeks ago.

The 28-year-old man was walking along Prospect Hill on Tuesday, January 10, at about 9.30pm.

Two men walked up to him and asked him if he had any money. When he said no, they attacked him near the entrance to St Stephen's House.

The victim was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for cuts and bruises.

Last week, the Advertiser highlighted that there had been six separate assaults in Redditch since the start of the new year. This is the seventh attack.

In this incident, one of the attackers was white, in his 20s and about 5ft 8ins tall. He was of a medium build, had a shaved head and was said to have a wide neck and long face with red marks on it. He was wearing a black Adidas hooded top and dark jeans.

His accomplice was of Afro-Caribbean appearance with light skin. He was also in his 20s, 5ft 5in tall and of skinny build. His hair was braided in rows and he is thought to have two lines shaved in his left eyebrow. He was wearing a long-sleeved black top and black trousers.
