SPICY sausages made in Worcestershire came second in a top contest.
The Worcester Spicy Sausages made by Teme Vale Victuallers, based in Cotheridge, reached the final of the Heart of England fine food's regional competition held in Birmingham on Thursday, January 26.
The sausage, which uses fresh tomato juice from Drews of Worcester and a splash of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, took second place.
Teme Vale's managing director Chrys Titshall said: "It is great that we've been recognised up there with the best again and you've got to take your hat off to the guys who won."
The winners were from Wolverhampton.
The Teme Vale sausages can be bought from the Malvern Country Meals farm shop in Church Street, Malvern.
The company supplies many bed and breakfasts in the area as well as Worcester Rugby Football Club, home of the Worcester Warriors.
