OPTIONS for improving Cleobury Mortimer town centre are going on show to the public.
Three alternatives have been devised by the Cleobury Country Partnership Transport and Traffic Management Theme Group following surveys of residents and businesses.
Areas earmarked for the improvements are High Street, Church Street and Lower Street.
Detailed information on the options will be displayed at Cleobury's Market Hall from today until next Thursday.
Carl Genese, chairman of the theme group, said: "We received an overwhelming response from the community for something to be done to improve the town centre.
"Problems relating to traffic flow, pedestrian safety, on street parking and the general look and feel of the town were cited by the vast majority of people.
"We have now developed three options that try to address the problems the community has raised. It has not been easy, as the built environment of the town means that some compromises have to be made in each option."
He added: "We now need local people to come and see the plans, make comments and vote on their favourite option."
Advantage West Midlands, the regional development agency, has allocated £115,000 for the scheme. Subject to approval, that sum will be matched by Shropshire County Council.
The display at the market hall runs from 9am until 5pm in weekdays and 9am to 1pm on Saturday, as well as between 7pm and 9pm tomorrow and Tuesday.
