A TEEN rock band led to a newsagent selling out of the Tenbury Wells Advertiser within an hour of going on sale last week.
But the Advertiser's veteran photographer Derek Foster came to the rescue after disappointed readers were left empty handed.
Derek rushed over to the Village Store in Clifton on Teme to supply extra copies .
Owner Peter Richards said: "By 8.30am we had no copies left and we had to get in touch with the Tenbury Wells Advertiser to see if they could get us extra copies.
"We usually sell out in the week but regular readers were coming into the shop on Thursday morning and were leaving without the paper because we had sold out our allocation."
Last week's front page carried a story about Nomad 67, an up-and-coming rock band from the village, and the response of Clifton upon Teme residents delighted the band's manager Graham Pearce.
"It demonstrates there is a lot of interest in the band in the area," he said. "I've even heard people are going to Bromyard to see if they can pick up a copy."
The band has recently completed their first album with producer Muff Murfin who decided to sign them to his record label. He has previously worked with music legends Judas Priest and Black Sabbath.
