The volunteer said she was "proud" of her award, adding: "It was a lovely surprise. It is very worthwhile work and I really enjoy it."

Before presenting the awards, Mrs Davies thanked the five winners for their services to the town, adding: "All these people have contributed to the quality of life in Bewdley. If you think about Bewdley, we have got a lovely old town and people who work very hard."
