KIDDERMINSTER Chess Club teams had a successful week in Worcester and District League.
The Knights hosted Greenlands, from Longbridge, in round one of the Knockout Cup, winning 3.5-0.5.

In Division Two the Rooks won 2.5-1.5 at Worcester.
Results: John Varilone 0, Ray Collett 1; Paul Thomas 1, R Yates 0; Terry Pountney 1, A Chan 0; Bill Pugh 0.5, A Irving 0.5.
Secretary and captain Maurice Bissell was the sole Kidderminster representative for Worcest-ershire's first team against Leicestershire at Claines. Bissell was beaten 10-6.
