STOURPORT firsts return to Midland Conference League action at home to Wellingborough at 2pm on Saturday.

They warmed up for the match with a series of training games against Shrewsbury last weekend, losing 1-0, 1-0 and 2-0.

The previous weekend they enjoyed a 2-1 friendly victory over Shrewsbury, who play three leagues above them.

Fran Moss and Sophie Harris got the goals and skipper Holly Lashford was the star player in the practice match at Kingsway.

Stourport seconds lost 4-0 in a friendly at higher-graded hosts Leamington firsts with keeper Sarah Cranton the player of the match.

The seconds' scheduled Worcestershire Division One match against Tenbury firsts at Leominster was called off because of a frozen pitch.

They host Harborne thirds on Saturday.

Katie Spencer's two goals could not prevent Stourport thirds slipping to a 5-2 friendly defeat to Bournville.

But a single Spencer goal was enough to earn a 1-1 draw with Bromsgrove seconds when the thirds returned to Worcestershire Second Division action.

Amy Smith covered every inch of the pitch and was player of the match for the thirds who visit Badsey on Saturday.

Stourport fourths suffered a 5-0 defeat to Redditch s seconds in a friendly. They bounced back when Sue Totney's treble put them on their way to a 4-1 win over Upton in Worcestershire Division Three.

Teri Baron notched late on to complete the scoring with 14-year-old midfielder Shannon Lennox the player of the match.

The fourths visit Kings Heath seconds on Saturday.

Kidderminster were in seventh heaven after routing Worcester fourths 7-1. Having walloped Worcester 9-1 in a friendly two weeks earlier, Kidderminster were in goal-scoring mood again.

Kay McDonald hit a hat-trick while player of the match Kate Jones bagged a brace and Giverney Gallagher and Amy Grove also notched.
