THEY'RE at it again - more suggestions that Upton's Old Street and Tunnel Hill would be safer if more acres of paint and silly signs were spread to slow traffic.
I've lived in the area for more than 25 years and can't remember anyone being killed in Old Street. Don't our administrators realise that reducing on-street parking creates a racetrack whatever the speed limit and kills local shops?
Why not make every motor vehicle through Upton follow a man with a red flag in convoy, and reduce local employment?
