SOME of Harriers' released players are bidding to make names for themselves at other clubs.

Popular midfielder Paul Webb has signed for Dr Martens League Western Division Evesham until the end of the season.

Webb has linked up with other ex-Harriers Steve Taylor and Mark Wolsey at Common Road.

Defender Mark Shail has joined Worcester City on a similar basis with more former Kidderminster players in Stewart Hadley, Martin Weir and Mark Shepherd already there.

And Harriers' joint top scorer from last season, John Durnin, is plying his trade at Second Division Port Vale.

The 36-year-old former Oxford United and Portsmouth man opened his goalscoring account with a stunning free-kick at the weekend against Wycombe.

Molby has admitted the release of a string of players, including Webb and Shail, could affect the reserves' chances of Avon Insurance League Division Two glory.

But it did them little harm last Wednesday as a stunning fightback secured a 3-2 success at Wigan Athletic.

With Harriers 2-0 down in the second half, two goals from teenager Matt Lewis and one from Tony Bird turned the match.

The goalscorers' fortunes differ greatly with Lewis tipped as possibly the next Lee Hughes, while Bird looks set to leave Aggborough in the summer if not before.

The reserves, still battling with Macclesfield Town for the title, entertain Notts County in the league next Wednesday (7pm).
