DARRYN Stamp and Kidderminster Harriers share a common goal - to prove that they can still hack it in the Football League.

While Harriers are battling to show they are good enough for League Two, the Chester targetman is on a personal mission to show he can score goals at this level.

Finding the net has not been too much of a problem during the 26-year-old's career, but by his own admission most of his goals have come at a lower standard of football.

"This is a good chance for me to prove that I can still do a job in the League," said Stamp, who is at Aggborough for a month after falling out of favour with Ian Rush at Chester.

"Every time I've played in the Conference I've scored goals but I need to prove that I can do it consistently in the League as well.

"I've probably played about 80 games in the League with the likes of Scunthorpe and Northampton, so I haven't got that much experience.

"But I've probably averaged one goal in four so I know that I can do, I just need to prove it to myself and everbody else.

"I'm a target man and I'm not going to get you the 30 goals a season that a quick forward can, but hopefully I'll be able to score a few and set up a few as well," he added.
