KEEN photographers are being urged to get snapping and enter into a Worcestershire garden centre's calendar competition.

Webbs of Wychbold is launching the competition for the second year running after it proved such a hit in 2005.

Over 700 pictures were entered last year which judges then had to whittle down to the final 12, depicting each month of the year.

Webbs is planning to produce a calendar for 2007 from original photographs in aid of St Richard's Hospice, the firm's chosen charity of the year.

Judging will take place at the end of June and the 12 winning entries will be made into the calendar to go on sale in the garden centre in the autumn.

All profits will go to help St Richard's care for patients and families in the area living with cancer and other life-threatening illness.

Executive chairman Ed Webb said: "The competition is open to everybody, amateur to enthusiast, young or old, so we are asking everyone to get snapping. There's plenty of time to take your photos and enter them by the end of June."

The 12 winning entrants will each receive Webbs Gift Vouchers worth £30 and copies of the calendar to give to friends and family.
