IR - Whatever happened to that super scrubbing machine that removes chewing gum? It hasn't made much difference on The Cross and Angel Place. I'm beginning to think it's a complete waste of money, with more people giving up smoking and turning to chewing gum. It's really objectionable when people spit it out all over the place. The manufacturers should have a tax levied on this gum and the council should be able to claim compensation from this tax for the cleaning of the street.
