WHEN will Redditch councillors and their henchmen stop crowing about the success of the AIR Festival (Letters, February 15)?

It was, after all, an unrivaled financial disaster.

They keep bleating on about it being a victory for the council - Pyrrhic victory are the words they are looking for.

Did the White Star Line claim a success for getting all the passengers safely aboard the Titanic? I don't think so.

What the council did with the festival is tantamount to standing in the market square selling £50 notes for a tenner.

The sooner Redditch Council is abandoned and affairs are conducted from County Hall can't be soon enough for council taxpayers.
