THIS year sees the 30th anniversary of the Mercian Festival Junior Football League and it is still growing.
Unfortunately, over the years some records and information have been lost and I am trying to fill in a lot of gaps for our handbook for next season. The main missing years are from 1976 to 1993.
I would like to appeal to your readers to see if they have any old programmes or newspaper cuttings they could let me have, or either copy and send to me, or loan to me and I will return them.
There must be some ex-players out there who played in the league in the early days who now have children, or possibly grandchildren, enjoying their football with us. So please have a good dig around and thank you in anticipation. Please send info to:
