Bromsgrove men's 1st XI 3 Market Drayton men's 1st XI 2

DOUBLE hero Nick Frizzell made sure Bromsgrove continued their resurgent form in the Coaching Solutions West Midlands Division One by bagging a last-minute winner on Saturday.

Frizzell made sure Bromsgrove's chances of a top three finish are still alive and kicking with a clinical finish.

Bromsgrove struggled to see off a spirited Market Drayton side, currently bottom of the table, which refused to lie down and die.

Victory means that Bromsgrove are still four points behind third placed West Bromwich.

Captain Julian Court said: "We didn't really play very well at all.

"It was a lacklustre display but we did enough to win the game.

"We did totally dominate but couldn't finish Market off."

Bromsgrove were trailing to an early goal by Piers Bond, before Joel Brace bagged a leveller.

Frizzell put the home side ahead but Rob Joule scored from a short corner to make it 2-2 and keep the game's result hanging in the balance.

Despite being frustrated by Drayton, Frizzell led a break, which resulted in the winner five minutes from the end.

l Bromsgrove will be aiming to keep their good form going in the league on Saturday, February 25, when they take on Old Silhillians away from home.

Court feels victory is imperative if his side is to keep their momentum going. After a run of several defeats in January Bromsgrove have carved out three wins in a row.

The captain also believes that West Bromwich may replace Old Wulfrunians in second place.

He said: "Old Wulfs have some very hard fixtures coming up.

"They have to play us and West Bromwich and I think they may struggle.

"All we can do is concentrate on our own form.

"Old Sils will be a different challenge and if we win that then it will set us up nicely for the game against Old Wulfs."
