Juniors: Redditch United u12s booked their place in the semi-finals of the Open Cup following a 4-0 victory over visitors Smithswood.

The Kingsley College side took just two minutes to open their tally when Shayne Hancox found the net with a superb free-kick.

The second goal followed from Reece Parsons with Kieran Madden making it 3-0 ahead of Hancox who chipped the keeper as United went 4-0 up inside the opening ten minutes.

It capped an impressive few weeks for Redditch who reached the last four of the Midland Junior Premier League Cup the previous week following a 4-3 victory over Hinckley.

Redditch United Girls u13s ran out 3-2 winners at home to Balsall & Berkswell Hornets u14s.

United went in at the break trailing to a solitary goal after the home side were reduced to nine players.

Kellie Smith levelled early in the second half only for Hornets to regain the upper hand.

Lauren Jack then levelled with a powerful shot and the same player struck the winner late on.

Just eight players turned out for Redditch United Girls u14s due to sickness and visitors Bournville Warriors took advantage, winning 2-0.

A fine display from Redditch keeper Sally Stockley kept the Birmingham side at bay until ten minutes before half- time.

Bournville scrambled a second goal in the final seconds.
