The AGM of the Bromsgrove branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute was held at Bromsgrove School.
The chairman, Jenny West, thanked the committee, members and friends for all their efforts and continued support over the last year. Particular thanks were given to Ann Brazier, retiring after many years of service on the committee, latterly as social secretary.
This year more than £7,000 was sent to RNLI headquarters from Bromsgrove, donated by the local community who give so generously to the collections.
The formalities of the meeting concluded, the members and friends then enjoyed an excellent meal followed by some songs and a most entertaining account of his professional experiences as a performer in the Black and White Minstrel Show by Roger Green.
Our annual flag day will be held on Saturday, May 20. Can you help us? Why not give us just one hour of that day.
Contact Jenny West on 01527 832959 to volunteer.
