KIDDERMINSTER Victoria are hoping to put Birmingham League Premier Division opponents in a spin by sending two promising youngsters to a specialist training camp in India.
As part of pre-season training, the club's head coach Ross Edwards will take Phil Shaw, 20, and 22-year-old Mark Venross to the famous Karnataka Academy, Bangalore, to hone their talents.
The party jet off for India on April 2 for three weeks and will return to England in time for Kidderminster's first game of the season on May 6 when Old Hill are the visitors to Chester Road.
Bowler Venross is hoping to pick up a few secrets from some of the greatest exponents of spin bowling, while batsman Shaw will benefit from facing many variations of spin.
The academy was set up by cricket legend Mohammed Azharuddin and the trip is part of Kidderminster's 10-year plan implemented by cricket development manager Sean Lloyd.
