RESIDENTS of Wyre Forest are not being short-changed by home fuel suppliers, according to trading standards chiefs.
Tests carried out on 23 tankers distributing fuel to Worcestershire homes showed none were giving illegal short measures but three were over the legal limit.
The rural nature of the county means many homes rely on oil to fuel their central heating systems.
Simon Wilkes, operations manager for Worcestershire County Council's trading standards, told the Shuttle/Times and News: "In these days of rising energy prices, ensuring accurate fuel delivery helps to protect those most vulnerable in society."
