KIDDERMINSTER Victoria Cricket Club are appealing for help to revamp their Chester Road ground in readiness for their return to the top flight of Birmingham League cricket.
Club officials are hoping to spruce up the venue to make it more comfortable for the increased crowds they expect to welcome in the coming season.
As part of the ECB project Cricketforce, KVCC officials will attempt to modernise the out-dated pavilion with new timber and a fresh lick of paint.
They also intend to enhance the general perimeters of the ground by planting shrubs and painting.
Head coach Ross Edwards said volunteers were welcome to come along and help with the refurbishment work on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9.
The club are also relying on the good will of local businesses to donate building materials including paint and timber free of charge.
"We need all the help we can get so if individuals or companies want to get in touch with me I would be delighted to speak to them," he said.
"With us getting back into the Premier we're expecting more people from the two nand beyond to support us.
"Hopefully, carrying out this work and giving the ground a bit of a facelift will make it a bit more welcoming for them."
