A TOP Stoke Heath museum is planning a host of fun-packed activities over the Easter break.
Avoncroft Museum is having a week of drop-in 'arts activities' for all the family. They will be encouraged to paint, collage and draw the Danzey Green windmill to celebrate its opening for the event weekend, after being closed last year for major repair work.
Children's artwork created over the week will be exhibited in the Long Room, String of Horses, during the steam and power event. There will also be half price admission from next Tuesday to Good Friday.
On Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday there will be steam engines, living and gypsy wagons, vintage tractors and traditional music. There will also be volunteers demonstrating craft skills on the Edwardian racksaw and Victorian chain making. Plus there will be a fairground organ playing old familiar tunes.
Museum director Angela Gill said: "We always try to make Easter a really lively and colourful event, as it is the first event of our season and we really try to set the tone for our whole summer's events programme."
Parking is free at Avoncroft and the museum tea room will be open to provide refreshments throughout the opening hours of 10.30am to 4.30pm
