WHILE we are grateful for the manner in which the last two mayors have conscientiously carried out their duties during a most difficult town period, my husband and I feel that there is now a public reaction towards a non-political appointment and the mayor should be elected by public vote, resulting from public nomination.
We would ask the councillors to please consider this proposal.
