FAIRFIELD Villa FC manager Paul Oakes has warned his side to take every game as it comes in their bid for the Midland Combination Division One title.
Fairfield are well poised to top the division but Oakes has stressed that the team must keep winning its games.
Oakes said: "We are definitely in the shake-up for the title but there's a long way to go.
"We just have to take every game as they come and keep winning the matches."
On Saturday Villa dropped vital points when Burntwood Town held them to a goalless draw.
Oakes said: "We absolutely dominated the game and really should have scored four of five goals.
"We're coming into a crucial period and can't afford to stop scoring."
l Villa's title hopes were dented when they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Archdale 73 on Tuesday night.
A 70th minute long range effort condemned Villa to defeat, while Fairfield missed a host of chances to score.
