SIR - There is obviously no cohesive working between Cabinet Ministers in this Government.
John Prescott and his ministers thought that Prof David Blanchflower and his excellent paper evidencing Worcestershire's claim for area cost adjustment was not up to the mark and repeatedly rejected it.
Then we have Chancellor Gordon Brown giving the esteemed Professor a powerful position on the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee.
How ironic that one Minister can see what another cannot.
MARK BRUNNER,
Redditch,
Worcestershire.
