AN open evening at the University of Worcester is aiming to show the wealth of opportunities available to graduates who want to further their studies.

From masters degrees and PhDs to management courses and professional qualifications, the university's postgraduate evening on Tuesday will inform students of the possibilities.

The university, based in Henwick Grove, St John's, Worcester, prides itself as a centre of excellence for postgraduate research in a number of fields, including history, English and early childhood, allergy research and aerobiology and sports and exercise science.

Staff will be on hand to offer advice and information on a wide range of full and part-time programmes, and research opportunities at the university's specialist centres. These include management studies, humanities, health and social care, computing, education, sports and the Post Graduate Certif-icate in Education (PGCE).

Pro-Vice Chancellor Judith Elkin said: "Postgraduate study for a taught masters or research degree can have a positive impact on career prospects and we're proud to offer an excellent range of courses here. Whether students undertake a research degree, professional qualification or further training for teaching, the university offers excellent facilities and a supportive environment in which to study."
