EVESHAM and Malvern Hills College is hosting a second Forest School National Conference.

The forest school method of teaching uses the outdoor environment to encourage and inspire children and adults to grow in confidence, independence and self-esteem.

Following the success of last year's conference, 2006's event has been designed for delegates who want to discover forest school for the first time, as well as for those people who have experience but want to further their existing knowledge.

The conference, at Dumbleton Hall, takes place on Monday, July 3.

Evesham and Malvern Hills College became involved in the scheme in 2000 when 10 members of its staff were trained to be forest school leaders.

The college is now recognised as a leading organisation for the training of forest school leaders and assistants. Christina Dee, the forest school co-ordinator at Evesham and Malvern Hills College, said: "This national conference is ideal for anyone one wants to find out more about forest school."
