STEPHEN Sondheim's unique and celebrated musical Sweeney Todd arrives at Solihull Arts Complex this week.
The Solihull Theatre Company (STC) production started last night and runs until Saturday, telling the tale of the legendary demon barber of Fleet Street.
The show is a big change for the company, whose previous productions have included Crazy For You, Half a Sixpence, and My Fair Lady.
STC secretary Helen Sharpe said: "The recent BBC dramatisation of Sweeney Todd presented a very serious version of the character and we hope this won't deter people from coming to see our musical version by Stephen Sondheim, which has a wickedly humorous side it."
Tickets available on 0121 704 6962.
