BEWDLEY Town had to be content with runners-up honours after reaching the final of two competitions.

They were pipped 2-1 by Kidderminster's Hoobrook Crown in the all Wyre Forest final of the Worcestershire Infirmary Junior Cup, and were beaten 4-2 by New Olympic in the Kidderminster and District Sunday League Junior Cup Final.

Two players claimed hat-tricks for Loom and Shuttle in a high-scoring home win over Tenbury Utd Colts in SundayDivision Five.

Matthew Birch and Steven Webley scored three apiece as the next-to-bottom team romped to a 12-1 verdict to claim only their fourth success of the campaign.
