A STRING of Worcestershire hotels is hoping to benefit when Emma Robinson travels to Germany and London this month.

Miss Robinson is the conference desk co-ordinator of Conference Worcestershire and she will be seeking to boost the international reputation of Worcestershire's hotels and business venues when she appears at two leading industry exhibitions - IMEX, in Frankfurt, and Crme, in London.

The Diglis House, Fownes and Whitehouse hotels, all in Worcester, the Elms Hotel at Abberley and the Pear Tree Hotel at Smite are just some of the venues in the Conference Worcestershire group. Hindlip Hall Conference and Training Centre, near Worcester, and March Hare Leisure at Broughton Hackett are two of the other high-profile conference venues that will be promoted at the events.

Miss Robinson, head of the county council-run service - which helps businesses find the perfect location for meetings, product launches and corporate events - will be on hand to promote the range of venues.

She said: "It will be great to be at both shows and put Worcester-shire exactly where it should be - alongside all the major players in the events industry.

"We have a great deal to offer, as anyone coming to see us will realise, and IMEX and Crme are the perfect chance to display all the advantages of Worcester-shire's many beautiful and varied conference venues."

Crme is being held at London's Olympia this week and Worcestershire will be exhibiting as part of the British Association of Conference Destinations stand.

IMEX, in Frankfurt, Germany, begins on Tuesday, May 30, and is expected to attract about 7,000 people from about 140 countries.

Conference Worcestershire will be appearing as part of the Meet Heart of England stand.

Worcesershire hosts more than 15,000 conferences a year at its unique range of venues, such as Spring Grove House, at the West Midland Safari Park near Bewdley, the award-winning Bishops Wood Centre near Stourport-on-Severn and the University of Worcester, as well as a range of specialist conference centres and top-class hotels.
