PREPARATIONS are under way at Arrow Valley Country Park for an international birdwatching event.
The Birdwatchers Summer Fair 2006 arrives for the weekend of June 3 and 4 and will bring birdwatching demonstrations and guided walks and talks by top wildlife photographers to the park.
There will also be activities for children, live owls and stalls selling binoculars, telescopes, outdoor clothing, books and videos.
A marquee will be erected in Stitch Meadow and refreshments will be available.
The fair is sponsored by Focus Optics, The West Midlands Bird Club, Redditch Council and Birds Illustrated and Wildlife & Countryside magazines.
It runs from 9.30am-5pm each day. Admission is £2 per adult (children under 12 can go for free), and parking is free.
