POLICE are warning the youngsters responsible for a spate of arson attacks in the south west areas of Redditch that they will not be treated lightly.
Pc Richard Waterhouse, from south west sector, is asking parents to remind their children they face having a criminal record if found guilty of arson.
The warning follows a spate of deliberately started fires. The most recent incident was on Sunday at 11.50pm when a wheelie bin was set alight in Banners Lane, Hunt End.
PC Waterhouse said: "We would urge parents to remind their children that as well as risking serious injury to themselves and others, they also risk getting a criminal record as we will not hesitate to take action against anyone who is caught."
Anyone with information can call PC Waterhouse on 08457 444 888 ext 3859.
